Professional Development

EYFS to Curriculum Leaders, Governors to Online Events.

Subject Leader Development

An online CPD suite of provocations, films and 'how to' guides accessed at a time that suits your professional development timeline.

Short and to-the-point films get Subject Leaders thinking about how they could lead as well as what they might do, by exploring intent, implementation and tools to judge impact.

The suite of films with accompanying resource and guides can be accessed at a time of your choosing and can fit into a school's professional development timeline. They could be streamed as whole school INSET or as self-guided CPD. There is a facilitation guide for the CPD leader to help embed the programme into practice. We can also facilitate training adding even more value to the toolkit.

Films are also available to buy as one offs.

How much? The guide price is £590* unlimited access per setting for 12 months; price is dependent on size of school and level of facilitation you might want to really help embed practice.

Specific training for Governors of Curious-city settings

With renewed EIF focus of 'impact', Governors play an important role in qualifying and validating the impact of a school curriculum. More often that not, Governors are not trained to do this, and visits to the school are limited to meetings, 'learning walks' and subject leader presentations.

We want to empower Governors to be inquisitive by asking supportive and challenging questions, have greater confidence in choosing what they might look for during book looks and learning walks without it feeling like an inquisition.

How much?  £300* for Curious-city & Lighting up Learning partner settings

*All prices are exclusive of VAT

In three hours, we will take a group of governors through three elements and provide a suite of approaches.

We will be as practical as possible: using children's books, teachers planning and walking around the school.

Headteacher CPD

Crafting an intent to empower implementation and informing intent

The three-day course for school leaders has empowered Headteachers to consider who, how and what they might use to craft an intent that is personalised, non-jargonistic and passionate.

We've facilitated the programme with leaders from Bristol, Devon and Swindon as well as with MATs, such as The Venturers Trust.

Executive Coaching & Supervision

Individual, Team or whole school

As qualified Executive Coaches, we provide 1:1 coaching for Headteachers, CEOs and Exec Heads as well as:

"Leading a school is a great privilege and also a great challenge. As a new Headteacher I have found regular Coaching to be essential... over the past 18 months, I have been able to reflect honestly on my own performance, in a balanced way, and explore ideas and solutions to a wide range of issues and problems. I have returned to school with renewed vision and determination."
